What employees say

Employees like

The work without someone breathing down your neck was great. The flexibility was also good
As a single mother this job has been a good paying job with a lot of flexibility.
The company doesn't recognize better qualified individuals for jobs.
Acosta does pay there PT employees, paid time off.
Witch a lot of companies do not provide.
Plus Health care options for PT and FT.
FT employees also get 40 hour personal time off as well as 40 hours of vacation time . A year.
Good work/life balance. Strong teamwork culture. Opportunity to work on special projects for personal development. Exciting to work on variety of businesses. Great support from management when personal/family issues occurred.

Employees don't like

There is really nothing I can say that I disapprove of other than using our own personal car a lot and not getting partial maintenance fee reimbursement.
The morale is very low and work productivity would improve with a boost to overall morale.
The fact that there is no room to move up in this company.
Worked for 5 years . No raise. Cut benefits for FT employees
Acosta is short changing their clients. If conducting business in an ethical manner, matters to you, do not apply here. The recently reduced all vacation/PTO. They do not treat their employees well. Very few exceptional managers, some are good, most should be terminated. I’m going to resign.

Suggestions for improvement

Value your employees. Stop cutting back benefits to save a buck. Hire managers who are professional. And know how to do there job.
Give your employees a raise.
Help pay for oil changes, new tires, etc. I don't think that will happen though.
Pay attention to the supervisors they have too many are lazy and riding the clock.
I think there should be a little more increase in pay, particularly because the state I live in is very expensive. My old position had different pay rates for different areas of the country. I'm not sure this one does that (maybe they do, but I can't say either way.) And HR should be more forthcoming with information such as any changes in the way they administer vacation time, or sick time.
Give raises is number one. Lessen the routes for RCM so not driving so far from their territory. Stop promising manufacturers with projects that are difficult to excute when there are so many other things that the RCM are already trying to accomplish.

Best and worst factors

Best rated: Freedom to work independently

The best rated factor of Acosta is Freedom to work independently with 3.8 points (based on 18 reviews).

Yes you have to be responsible and able to make good decisions based on yiur call
Freedom to work independently but with devices for managers and field employees that not only track for GPS/mileage purposes, the company is using spyware installed on employee’s handhelds to collect intel/data on customers, clients and employees. They can, and do, remotely collect information via pictures, take videos, listen and record audio of anything and anyone within a certain proximity to a company provided handheld device. Unethical business practices by many, not all, but many.
You are given a tablet with a list of tasks, and you accomplish those in the time provided.
Most of my time was spent working independently. As long as I fulfilled my assignments on time, there was no need for direct supervision.
To a degree you are free to work independently, but dont forget they know your location on your tablet, Big Brother watches you.

It's a great starting rate but in 5 years no raise or extra compensation
Very low pay for the under appreciated work load. Vacation time was reduced for everyone this year.
I believe that someone was hired making more than me with four years experience with the company.
Company policy to not do raises so new people starting make more than experienced employees

Career Development

Career Development rating

Career Development is rated with an average of 2.8 points (based on 17 reviews).

They have a horrible recruiting and retention dept, internal candidates barely ever get called or emailed to acknowledge receipt of a resume/application for any positions. Managers have to fight and push hard just to get someone to call an employee they refer for a position.
No growth opportunities.
Youll never move up
They do not promote internally if they can help it.
No chance to move up
