There is a lot of lip service given to a good company culture; however, that occasionally requires tough decisions and the courage to fix known problems. It was startling how very much abuse was tolerated.
Freedom to work independently
As but one example of micromanagement: I have a doctoral degree and 15 years of professional experience. My manager insisted that I route all emails to higher-ups through him.
Suggestions for improvement
- That kind of toxic company culture cannot be fixed.
