Poor. Workers are disrespected and overburdened with assignments from upper management
Support from management
Poor support. Lack of compassion for their employees. Reactive instead of proactive.
The employees attempt to work well together. They pick up extra work, so help lower the burden of others
Freedom to work independently
Workload is not split fairly, but workers on the floor have the ability to work at their own pace.
Information is provided, but not often enforced by upper management. Entirely too many meetings by upper management, which keeps them off the floor, and lessens staff availability to patient care
Yes. A large number of the staff are female nurses.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I don't believe age is a factor in hiring.
Difficult to find information. Positions are given on a priority bases. Favoritism is a negative factor here.
Overall compensation for your work
Staff often has to work overtime to make enough to survive. Salaries for professionals is below average
Office / Work Environment
Buildings are dated and require significant updating. Computer systems are up to date. Some computers do not communicate with each other which leaves room for medical errors.
Upper management is aware of the potential work place hazards, but continue to place employees and patients at risk. They have interventions in place to avaoid these situations, but continue to staff to below level standards.
The state provides a significant amount of vacation and holiday time off. Due to substandard levels of staff, it can be difficult to take time off.
No. Company has poor reputation
Yes. At one point they were trying to subcontract the facility
OSHA standards are met. Training is completed on a schedule
Yes. Helping someone in need is always very rewarding
Inclusive / Diverse
Suggestions for improvement
- Change in upper nursing management.
What I like about the company
I like the type of field I was in. The comradorie with other staff members.
What I dislike about the company
Upper managements inability to empathize with the floor staff. Not proactive in helping the floor staff. Would prefer to have meetings than to work on the floor with staff, even when staffing is dangerously short
