- Adcare Criminal Justice Services08.Mar 2018
Employees are recognized as people but management is very hands off. Nice people but unengaged
Support from management
Onsite supervisors can be very good if you are lucky. Upper management are very dedicated to addiction services but totally absent. Hands are tied with contracts with criminal justice entities however, they complain about no money but pay "friends" of sheriffs
Poor communication. People often feel like they aren't really part of a larger entity
AdCare could do a much better job of engaging and utilizing the strengths of their staff. Too many dead end jobs and not enough opportunity to grow.
Overall compensation for your work
Overall pay is not bad but raises are few and far between.
Office / Work Environment
Criminal justice environments are not fancy. Lousy offices, poor temperature control, lack of funds for basics.
Contract holders can ask that an employee be removed at any time and AdCare goes along to get along.
Suggestions for improvement
- Expand. Look for other outlets in substance abuse.
What I like about the company
Management does care about addiction. They believe in their mission. They care about quality employees and are loyal.
