Adept Word Management Inc experience report

  • 21.May 2017
  • Employee

Interesting work, unreliable miscalculated pay

3.50

Support from Management

Some guidelines are given, but you are expected to basically "wing it" much of the time.

Level of Autonomy

You are expected to work independently

Overall Compensation for your work

Rate of pay seems good, but with all the extra work you discover is required, it severely cuts down on what you are able to make per hour, etc.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Raise the pay per audio minute to coincide with the expectations of your work, focus on paying employees on time, every time.

What I like about the company

Interesting clients, subject matter, and variety of work available.

What I dislike about the company

Payment is unreliable at best and while the rate offered sounds good at first, once you begin transcribing and adding in the additional requirements in each transcript, the rate you are able to make per hour is substantially lowered.
