They are disingenuous and treat their employees as a name on a schedule. Management allows bullying and favoritism.

What I like

I can honestly say there was no positive working for this company.

What I dislike

They make sure to withhold you PTO balance at all cost. They give you any employee handout that does not match their online policies. The HR lies so that they don't have to pay out your hard earned vacation.

Suggestions for improvement

They need to learn how to care about their employees!

Teamwork

They allow bullying

Work-Life Balance

They do not care that you have a family.

Support from management

Management does not care about me as a person

Office / Work Environment

Always out of proper equipment

Overall compensation for your work

They refused to pay my PTO when I fulfilled my obligations.

Company Image

I felt the care was below par

EmployeeWorked at Adventist Health System/West in Roseville, CA at the time of review.

What I like

They have a great new grad program and the nurse in Hanford really became some of my closest friends. I am always treated with respect and they are very supportive in helping me grow.

What I dislike

Onsite daycare would probably help alot with call ins. The staffing company they have hired is a joke.

Suggestions for improvement

Onsite daycare, more specific policies. I dislike the CSO staffing office, they are very difficult to deal with and never take accountability for errors they make.

Adventist Health has been a great place to work. They have encouraged me to continue my education. Love my coworkers!

EmployeeWorked at Adventist Health System/West in Roseville, CA at the time of review.

What I like

While working at Adventist Health I continued my education and received tuition assistance. My manager was very supportive of me during this time and has encouraged continued growth. My coworkers are wonderful and I consider them friends. Some of them I even consider family. Work life balance is encouraged.

What I dislike

At times there is some favoritism that occurs from management. I also wish levels of upper management would spend more time with the workforce.

Suggestions for improvement

I think at times the culture can be upper management against the workforce. I do not think this is done purposefully, but it happens. I am also tired of hearing about productivity.

Company Culture

It's a good company. It still has a small town, everyone matters feeling when you go to work. I feel that they are an extension of my family

Gender Equality

Adventist Health has a very diverse workforce. Great opportunities for everyone to grow.

Environmental Friendliness

They do good, but I think there is room for improvement.

Overall compensation for your work

Great financial compensation and paid leave.

Challenging Work

Assisting our patient population and the struggles they deal with can be very hard and rewarding. Many of our patients have limited resources, limited education and have been let down by the healthcare system in the past. Being able to help them is very rewarding.

EmployeeWorked at Adventist Health Clearlake Hospital, Inc. in Clearlake, CA at the time of review.

What I like

I have never before worked at a facility that gives so much freedom to its employees

What I dislike

I dislike the organization and communication that goes on here at this facility

Suggestions for improvement

I would probably start a restructuring from basically the ground up all the way to the top

My time at adventist health has been kinda scattered. I walked into a terrible director who had since resigned

EmployeeWorked at Adventist Health Clearlake Hospital, Inc. in Clearlake, CA at the time of review.

What I like

I do like the workplace independence I experience compared to other facilities I have worked at. I am given alot of freedom.

What I dislike

It's been ran like a circus up to this point. The lab director that I was hired under has since resigned and and hopefully things will begin to take better shape here.

Suggestions for improvement

I would pretty much start over from the ground up with the lab. There is so much that needs to be changed that I feel a complete restructure would be the best possible route to go

Always work together. Teamwork works best when everyone puts in the same amount of effort.

EmployeeWorked in Research/development at Adventist Midwest Health in Hinsdale, IL at the time of review.

What I like

Everyone works hard to help others. Even when times are tough, we all work together and pull through.

What I dislike

There's really nothing that I disapprove of. Except one of my Co workers.

Suggestions for improvement

Organizing and cleaning. It's important to maintain maintaining workplace so others don't get sick or infected.
