What I like

I guess a personal positive is that they offer 401k match. Even though it is 3%, I guess it is better than nothing. I can't say much else about them, since they are greedy and do not give a darn out us employees.

What I dislike

Management and administration need to care more about the frontline employees, especially the nurses and CNAs. We do all the work and they just sit behind their desk and make things harder for us.

Suggestions for improvement

I would make managers come out of their office and work the floor. They quickly forget where they come from and start to not care about their staff. They become money hungry for their bonus and we suffer with poor staffing so they can get it.

Company Culture

Horrible - do not feel safe.

Internal Communication

No communication

Teamwork

Wants us to fight each other verbally

Work-Life Balance

Works us like dogs

Support from management

Hell no.

Former EmployeeWorked at Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, WI.

What I like

As a patient I felt the quality of care was generally good, especially from primary care. As an employee I have no positive comments.

What I dislike

Lack of improvement opportunities and no confidentiality or support from leadership

Suggestions for improvement

Holding employees accountable for their work and not taking advantage of hard workers

Company Culture

Management divided employees, obviously had favorites, was very distanced, HR backed this behavior

Internal Communication

Overall company communication was good but departmental was poor

Teamwork

Again, division within departments and between departments seemed to be encouraged

Work-Life Balance

Was not very supportive

Support from management

No accountability and raising concern was never taken seriously

Freedom to work independently

This was to a fault. No one over sought proper procedure

Inclusive / Diverse

Said they welcomed ideas but if management felt threatened because it wasn’t their idea it caused friction in the department

Overall compensation for your work

Underpaid for the position within the local market for that position

Company Image

No longer my employer. Would never recommend working for this company

What I dislike

The area that I feel needs work is communicating to staff from top down. If you want respect, you need to give respect too.

Suggestions for improvement

I feel the recruiting area and HR staff need to work more efficiently.

Company Culture

Our hospital merged with Aurora and we quickly found the culture is not employee oriented.

Internal Communication

Communication to employees basically does not exist until the public hears about it.

Teamwork

It starts from top going down, and the top leaders aren’t honest.

A positive area is independent work is encouraged.

What I like

Everyone I spoke with when getting hired was very professional and spoke extremely positive about the company. That made me want to work for them all the more. They offered not only many benefits but also growth for opportunities within the company. I interviewed on multiple floors of the hospital and was able to decide which area I thought was best for me. My boss that hired me on was very welcoming and spoke highly about the team I was joining. A word I heard the most through the process was "teamwork." Teamwork is extremely important to me in the workplace. I love the company I work for and I never want to leave! Such a positive experience that I've had.

What I dislike

Honestly, I love the company and as of right now I don't see any areas of improvement for the company.

Suggestions for improvement

There are no improvements I would make for the company because I feel they do an great job with everything!

Company Culture

We have a great team, that works wonderful together!

Internal Communication

Communicates effectively with teammates

Teamwork

I always am honest and work well with my coworkers, while encouraging others to do so too!

Freedom to work independently

Inclusive / Diverse

Always valued diversity in the workplace. Always asking for ideas and opinions to improve the workplace

Gender Equality

They have given women equal opportunities within the company by giving the same raises and money, also by acknowledging everyone equally.

Attitude towards older colleagues

The company I worked for treated older employees fairly and offered equal opportunities.

Company Image

Very proud to work for such a compassionate and caring company

Career Development

Before I started, one of the main things the company promoted was that there was always growth for opportunities. They will help you go in any direction you desire!

Challenging Work

Everyday I work is always challenging in the beat wayzs. I'm always continuously learning!

EmployeeWorked in Administration at Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, WI at the time of review.

What I like

I have learned a lot working my company, I love all of my co workers which help, and everyone was always more than willing to help when I would get stuck. The hours are great so that I am able to spend time with my child, and get off at a decent time during the week.

What I dislike

Only thing I don’t like is we have to use our own pto for holidays if we want to get paid.

Suggestions for improvement

Only thing I never liked is parking in the structure. Getting off after midnight and walking across the building alone was scary.

Internal Communication

Our supervisors always show appreciation whether it’s with small gifts or sending a thank you email.

Teamwork

I’ve never had anyone tell us we need to work together, my team just seems to bond nicely, and all try to help each other however we can

Work-Life Balance

My co workers are always willing to trade or fill in with one another if we ever need to take off, even when it’s last minute.

Support from management

Overall compensation for your work

I’m satisfied but I would always accept more.

Company Image

I absolutely love my job

Challenging Work

When I first started I used to go home in years, but once I learned how to do it I started to love my job
