What I like

Non-management employees tend to be nice and treat each other well.

What I dislike

Management is not engaged with Employees and does not listen to or value their opinions. Local HR Department is lazy and incompetent and does protect confidential information. Retaliatory and toxic environment pervades.

The building is an old warehouse with a leaky roof. Dark and gloomy cube farm.
Cockroaches and fruit flies from the dumpster inhabit the building. I.T. infrastructure is antiquated and inadequate. File cabinets litter the halls.

Employee safety in the parking lot is an issue. Cars are broken into by residents of the surrounding neighborhood.

What I like

Open honest communication, not PC but also not abusive.

What I dislike

Constant expensive, disruptive and inefficient firefighting. Promoting based on "problem solving(firefighting)". Sole person resourcing of key capabilities. Too many fiefdoms.

Suggestions for improvement

Stop working to cure the daily emergency. Today's emergency was caused yesterday by assigning all the resources to yesterdays emergency ---to be repeated tomorrow. Detailed production schedules are created, it'd be more effective to work to them. Hold your supervisors and managers accountable for not making daily production - "I'll do twice as many tomorrow" is not alright Wimpy. Dual source more materials.

Executive management is running the company into the ground while they escape with their oversized bonuses to retire off of.

Exec mgmt is managing for today and their bonuses. No insight to running a rocket business. They’re simply managing for short term success to get their golden handshake.

Teamwork at West Palm Beach is very good with very strong focus on mission assurance and mission success.

What I dislike

Senior leadership was formerly too focused on having a "club atmosphere" trying to outdo the other with lavish office space, etc. Changes are needed to show customers and employees that focus is on the business and keeping employees interested in their work.

I had a great experience. I learned alot, was able to move to 2 different departments within 7 years (which is not common), and I made a lot of friends.

What I dislike

Management is a little "old-school," the employees are either older (50+ years old) or young (college new hires) and all of management is older.

Suggestions for improvement

More flexibility to move around and try different departments, too much "red-tape"

What I like

I really liked the people I worked with on a daily basis. Everyone was very helpful and listened to input.

What I dislike

The company is going through a restructuring process which affected our program and position. It may take sometime but I think they will figure it out.

Suggestions for improvement

Fix the network it's terrible. Invest in the tools for engineers (i.e. purchase licenses for creo and update the maint. package ) Also the office furniture was terrible but tolerable.
