Company Culture

No responsibility for its employees, meaning once a contract is up, there no notice to stop employment

Support from management

Management doesn't care about work life balance, its all about the next contract. They will end employment without notice

Teamwork

Its a free for all here, with everyone stressed about contracts being pulled. high turnovers

Freedom to work independently

None, Old processes with no interest to fix

Internal Communication

Lower level employees are not given scope on the success of the company

Gender Equality

Unless you joined the pack of upper management, there is no growth or opportunities with newer hires.

Attitude towards older colleagues

employment after 10 years is automatically terminated due to competition and a younger/cheaper workforce. company is outsourcing key components of software development. The rule is after 10yrs, they will terminate your employment and supply a fruit basket

Career Development

None, development is using old unsupported technologies. giving no tools to help folks deliver meaningful product. Most of the offices use Microsoft XP to deliver products in 2015

Overall compensation for your work

Pay is decent, rises are hard to get, 401k is weakest in the area, healthcare premiums are most expensive Ive seen in the DC are. HR messed up my payroll for a few months and not take out the appropriate amount of taxes, leaving me a tax bill the following year

Office / Work Environment

Building seems new, as it attracts more future employees

Environmental Friendliness

No, occasionally we would have office lunches, but never considered recycling or waste managment

Work-Life Balance

Vacation days are given, but frowned upon when taken. Working days are about 10hrs, Software builds are on Friday. so most of us would stay to test product till twilight hours. Management Will pressure employees to come to work during hazardous and dangerous driving conditions. Due to lack of Teleworking options.

Company Image

No, company has spent a lot of money making the appearance competitive. Employees are talking negatively all the time. Most offices I walk by, I see job sites and career searching webpages. People tend to continuously look for jobs while employed here

Job Security

No job security, During times when a contract was pending. we were not getting paid, just sitting idling at our desk. We were told not to leave, but were not getting paid to be there. Job is stable if contract is stable. From the growing trends most contracts are not stable

Handicapped Accessibility

Parking spots are hard to find under the building. CEO parks in 2 spots all the time, he drives a fleet of Mercedes, Cadillac, and Super cars. During the winter break most employees had to walk across an untreated parking lot across the campus. while the VP's parked under the building. They pride their selves with status rather than well being of employees

Workplace Safety

With all the stress of loosing contracts and letting go senior employees. There have been concerns of folks coming back to potentially cause problems or even harm individuals. For that reason I left the company, I no longer felt safe going to work with such a high turnover and the negativity that surrounded the company. Working there was not worth my well being or property damage.

Challenging Work

Most product we produced are not collaboratively thought through. Meaning Software development doesn't consider all business rules when development. QA Process has been outsourced, so there a lack of consistency. I dont feel proud when we deliver products that have way too many defects and clients remain unhappy. Company will sell products to customers that are technically unfeasible. where the technology doesn't exist here

Inclusive / Diverse

No, ideas are solely on management that are not on the ground floor. No support from the folks that have to deal with unhappy customers on a daily basis

Suggestions for improvement

  • Leaders need to be leaders, start treating employees right

What I like about the company

I liked the people that you worked with

What I dislike about the company

No process, no desire to fix, and no appreciation
