Supervisors are instructed to not give positive feedback so people don't expect pay increases. Senior management does not trust or respect any of their employees. This used to be a fun place to work. It is a morgue now.
Support from management
No one has a voice there.
Senior management and the owners dislike when employees have meetings. They seem meeting as a waste of time and do not encourage anyone to work as a team.
Freedom to work independently
Too much work, not enough employees anymore. Quality of the product has gone downhill and no one cares anymore. Not even the owners. All they want is the money.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The owners want interns. If you are over 40 FORGET IT! They don't want to pay people's health insurance.
They used to promote from within. Those days are gone. They will bring in contractors and deem them as heroes for a month or two. Then by the end of their term they are fired if they make it that far.
Overall compensation for your work
There are very few full time employees. Their game is hire all part time and contractors and wait to pay invoices. A nightmare.
Office / Work Environment
The office space is ok. The computers and software are very dated.
Greed is the game here.
Not too much overtime at all.
Unfortunately the industry loathe the owners. It is awkward for sales to do business with that negativity. The owners want their zip code, office and luxury leased cars to project a high end and successful image. It is all a cover.
No one is secure there. The company is failing.
No disabled people work there. That answers the question.
It is a safe and accident free office.
Most low and mid level employees are good hard working people who try to do a good job. Problem is it is never good enough and micro managed from the top down. Everyone is a robot now. No one cares anymore.
Inclusive / Diverse
No way. The owners and senior management still operate following an 80's management style. Problem is they THINK they are modern and cutting edge, but they are a laughing stock. They think they have an open door policy on new ideas, but if you look at the magazines, you will see they look the same as they did 20 years ago and read the same as well.
Suggestions for improvement
- The owners need to go home, gut senior management and hire some new blood to bring life to a dinasoar.
What I like about the company
It is a small company and you are very visible. If you get along with the owners, then you may have a chance do do well.
What I dislike about the company
They are stuck in the 80's. They don't trust anyone. The sales team has unrealistic goals set to make them fail. The creative is a joke and lead by a miserable dictator who has worked there way too longit and fights with everyone all the time.
