- Tell the owner to stop lying to his self and others. Hes full of hot air, a show off. Tone it down so people will stop milking the cow, trim the fat, cut ye the company in a stronger matrix where you have project mour losses and minimize. Keep promises, motivate, and give incentives to your people that strive for your riches. Spread humility in your company rather than showing greed by cutting bonuses and turning more employees against your management, which in turn makes them least productive as well as effecting your timeline on project execution. Structure project managers to be fully responsible for their projects as they are the ones that are on-site. This will make the company a strong matrix vs. a weak one. Avoid communicating through your foreman,charge hand, or security guards. Keep the commuincation lines from lower level employees to upper-managment limited, so their minds do not get distracted with small issues and can tend to the larger ones.
I like about the employer
It was a great place to learn about construction in a fast paced environment. The company has many resources, as well as financial strength to perform jobs of high value.
