What employees say

Employees like

Always had a great paycheck. I really liked it and liked being there.
There are no positive experiences with this company.
I have been able to meet a few amazing people. People who have added to my life and will always be dear to my heart. I have been able to pay my bills and pay down my debt, at times overtime is great. Overall, with many of its downfalls I have found some positive experiences and people.
It’s a good company to work for, challenging to get into but has a lot of benefits if you work full time. I wish the hospital have more culture and diversity and all age group.
I loved my coworkers, I had so much support and help. The meetings were catered

Employees don't like

Sometimes hours are too much and a lot is expected of workers
They show favoritism and don't recognize good work
There are so many. First of all, the parking situation is a nuisance. We’re located in inner city Oakland and there is a lot of crime nearby, so I have to park far away from the facility. The offsite parking shuttle only comes once every 15 mins and that can be a waste of time when I’m on a time constraint. Also, there’s very low chance of getting a promotion and unfair labor practices when it comes to rewarding a ...
I think that communication is an area of improvement. Often last minute changes have to take place, and that is understandable, but more prompt communication of the changes would be helpful so that everyone is on the same page and confusion is minimized.
I highly disapprove of the management and the constant turnover. Poor quality manager continue to be hired and for whatever reasons they leave and in order to fill the position another poorly qualified management team is hired.

Suggestions for improvement

When hiring any employee i.e. management and staff. I would suggest actually putting them to the test. Having them go onto the floor and running hand on skill test with the employees that are currently on the floor. Seeing them in action is a lot different from what you may see on paper. Anyone can write up a good resume but can they actually handle the heat once they are in the kitchen. I would have all employees including management ...
I would give more coverage. But I’m. It sure what else
Create more opportunities for workplace morale boost.
Have the medical staff understand what bad data entry does downstream, and have people walk the shift with a nurse once a quarter. Appreciate the other shoes.
Need more project managers that understand how to balance workload and follow up

Worst rated: Support from management

The worst rated factor of Alameda Health System is Support from management with 2.5 points (based on 3 reviews).

Not at all, management take my concerns and try to find something to hold against me and others.
They will have your back if things go wrong or if someone complains about you (which happens often in the hospital setting). But they don’t support you daily. There is a lack of communication.
Managament is disconnected from employees. They treat employees as pawns in a chess game who have no voice and are easily expendable
