- Allen s Home23.Sep 2017
Family owned. Very fractured. Aviods confrontation at all costs.
Support from management
Office support is not there to help just lookin for faults. Not appreciated for what is done right.
Not a team environment. In-fighting between designers. Combative office manager.
Owners plan to be gone for up to two weeks, do not inform staff. Staff will here about it from each other. Computer system out dated.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most everyone is older. Half the staff is over 55+
Office / Work Environment
Very dirty store. Designers do the cleaning and purchase products themselves to clean.
You can come a go as you choose. Commission sales.
More concerned with outward image than what truly is needed for work support.
There isn't handicapped parking. Customers can't move freely with the ever changing pathways.
Not safe. Wired coming down from the ceiling. Carpet duck taped down on showroom floor. Tripping hazards. Electric not up to code. Emergency exits locked at all times.
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen, to everyone. Do not pick and choose what you need to deal with. Crisis management, outdated process.
What I like about the company
They have a wide variety of vendors
What I dislike about the company
Owner is not communicative. More intrested in image not what you need to be sucessful. Outdated procedures, practices and process. Very dirty store for very expensive furniture. Building has not been kept up. Roof needs replaced. Damage every time the snow melts or heavy rain.
