So many behind closed door meetings and secrecy of cliques. Hard to develop trust in leadership.
Support from management
Lower level management was confused. Quite literally remember multiple employees not knowing who their leads/management even was for weeks at a time.
Very cliquey. Be in the "cool" crowd, or else.
Freedom to work independently
Highest management ran the place where talented staff executed.
Again, a lot to be had. Too many people spread too thin at that.
Women are often scolded for what they wear.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Be in the clique, or be out of sight. Best way to stay employed.
You're not going to move up in the company. But you'll have an exuberant amount of experience in your craft for when you move on.
Overall compensation for your work
Competitive with median pay when you begin. You will do more than you're paid for eventually though.
Office / Work Environment
Great equipment. Outstanding building.
5 given because I genuinely don't know.
The average salaried employee works far beyond 40 hours by force. Being hired for a specific job will evolve into 3 to 4 more whole occupations before you've been there 90 days. Vacation days will make you anxious because you will come back to what you missed. Company issued cell phones are more like electronic leashes.
The core sales vehicle was very fascinating. Always made talking about what ARG does an interesting conversation with others.
Parking lot fills up quite quickly. The leadership will, in fact, park in the handicapped parking even though they are not.
I don't know what happened at the client sites, but the corporate office was in a very safe location.
Both blue and white collar jobs will make you feel as if you've accomplished a lot during your day.
Inclusive / Diverse
An extreme lack of minoritys/cultural diversity in ARG. In fact, there is quite a large group of one specific family that runs quite a large portion of the leadership.
Suggestions for improvement
- you already know who and/or what makes people cringe at showing up every day. It's been the same thing/people for years.
What I like about the company
Challenging work made you feel like you earned your weekends.
What I dislike about the company
Social bureaucracy and office politics made people choose sides. Those sides turned into cliques. Those cliques sought the approval of the top leadership.
