If you are looking for a place where you can move on the latter, then Allstate is not for you. The way they promote their employees it's almost a slavery type of deal! You'll have to do lots of volunteering in your community (so that they can claim your volunteer work on their taxes and get free marketing) then you will be given a "temporary" or rotational "opportunity" (if they like you) it could be a year or more, where you are doing the job of a manager, but will not be getting pay for it and you will get the worst of the schedules. Most of that time, you will even loose money, if you were making commission on your sales. At the end of this journey, they most of the time will send you back to the position you used to have, unless you faked lots of smiles with your boss. Its not about performance or leadership skills. So you know what kind of leadership you will have at Allstate.
