Management has not been able to answer one of my questions. They like to ridicule you in front of people about your performance no discretion. A circus animal could actually do there job.

What I like

Amazon could be a better company if it had a better management team than what it currently have. The management team from Corprate to supervisors are ghetto and don’t know how to talk to or treat it’s hard working staff

What I dislike

I was only given one day training before I was released on my own. They give you long routes and too many packages to deliver in a sensible time frame and your only given a 15 mi & a 30 min break

NOT WORTH IT FOR WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEES

Former EmployeeWorked in Distribution/sales at Amazon, East Seattle in Seattle, WA.

What I like

free parking, contests

What I dislike

It's not worth it. The low pay, never ending hours, that you have no control of, you can be required at the drop of a hat to do 12 hours of back breaking work just to barely pay rent. It's a soul-less place that you can see just from the looks on the employee's faces. The injuries incurred on the job, and not all will be covered by L and I, could last a lifetime. A lot of your precious and needed break time will be spent walking to the break rooms. You're not allowed to have your phone on site. There is no music or anything while you do repetitive work for 10+ hours. They try to tell you that you're an industrial athlete to put a positive spin on the impact to your body of forced standing for never ending hours. If you are a warehouse employee you aren't considered to be part of the Amazon in Seattle. You are the redheaded step child of amazon. Good luck trying to switch to corporate. Save yourself.

Suggestions for improvement

way better pay, hours, hire more people rather than making people work 10+ hours in a back breaking job, with no music to liven up those soulless hours.

Company Culture

ONLY CARES ABOUT SPEED TO SHIP TO CUSTOMERS

Work-Life Balance

They will make mandatory hours, and days in your schedule whenever they need it. No matter how backbreaking it is.

Career Development

Good luck attempting to move up to corporate, in the warehouse it's like you are a whole other company. Not the cool, fun, well paying one.

Overall compensation for your work

doesn't even cover rent in tWashington state

Challenging Work

Yes, your body will be challenged and highly likely to be injured.

Job Security

Will fire you if you go below rate.

What I like

The money

What I dislike

Worked 2 death, also they re-couped my 401K match money after I quit!
This made me VERY ANGRY!

Suggestions for improvement

Handicapped Accessibility

This isn't a place for the disabled to come and work!

Overall compensation for your work

I got $16 plus benes but you pay a price for the money! They say that benefits start on day one, but that isn't true. I worked for 13 months and quit, after they matched my 401k 50%.
Some time later I checked my balance and noticed the match money was gone! They say that you have 2 work a full 5 years then you can keep the match money! HORSE PUCKEY!

Inclusive / Diverse

They do seem to have an assortment of people on hand........
