- American Claims Management, Inc.15.Dec 2015
The supervisor was superb. The former HR was not fair to me. When I fullfilled my 90 days probation to go direct hire the HR dragged the process out so they would not have to pay me for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years day.
Support from management
My immediate supervisor was a very nice & positive.
We were trained to interact eith other departments.
Freedom to work independently
My supervisor was very open to suggestions.
The communication was only lacking from the HR department.
Gender had no noticeable influence on career.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Excellent. I turned 65 while there. I was treated as a valuable employee, once hired fulltime.
A lot of room for improvement.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary was too low for the knowledge they expect. Paid on time. Benefits were available.
Office / Work Environment
The company provided the best equipment, surroundings, and comfortable furniture and ventilation as well as on the spot tech help.
They did okay.
Good image was there, but employees need better raises. Clients don't see this.
Jobs very secure, as with any insurance entity.
Top of their list. Codes to get through doors. Safety training was ongoing.
I found my work to be mostly rewarding, but after teo years it became robotic.
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity as for hiring all ethnic races, but not in being able to train or transfer within.
Suggestions for improvement
- When an employee has 99% on all evaluations, they should be advised of possibilities to move up in the company and how they can reach goals.
What I like about the company
They encouraged improvement with evaluations in a positive way. They were flexible.
What I dislike about the company
No where to move up. No help in this area.
