Only feedback is negative.
Support from management
No process for filing human resource complaints, discriminatory comments were made directly to me in front of witnesses and no repercussions were made. However I was deemed a trouble maker for "bringing attention to office" for filing complaint against highly insulting behavior. Budgets were not set within reasonable timelines. Often, after events, more than mid year. Goals were often increased once hit with little to no notice. Very rarely received anything in writing, and often through texts. Emails would often not be reaponded to by management, nor on a reasonable time frame.
Employees all committed to a cause.
Freedom to work independently
Workload may not be distributed equally, but fairly based upon skill and experience.
Reports can easily be pulled to get information. Feedback sent primarily through email and rarely face to face.
Women are valued in this female dominated field.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Senior workers with experience are not valued. Beauty is valued over experience. It's all about "the look"
Training only provided within your job title. No opportunity for movement.
Overall compensation for your work
Excellent vacation and sick package. Salary inline with others in same field. Benefits are good.
Office / Work Environment
Office is comfortable, though a bit cramped. Systems kept updated and IT team is quick to respond to issues.
Flex time and comp time available. Vacation program is fair and easily requested.
Great company with great mission.
Little job security. Upper management rules through fear.
No training provided through company. Conditions are safe.
Inclusive / Diverse
There is a large amount of bigotry, that is not addressed. In addition, they frown upon any one who is over weight, older, or otherwise unattractive.
Suggestions for improvement
- Recognize lower level staff when disconnect happens. If a manager has numerous people quitting in a very short period, that should be investigated.
What I like about the company
Great company with a great mission. Newer CEO positive and helping to change company climate.
What I dislike about the company
No formal process for escalation of HR complaints. No anonominity when doing so. Managers in NYC and LI districts rule through fear and slander. Little accountability. Unable to resolve internal employee conflicts in a timely or professional manner.
