Suggestions for improvement
- The HR structure needs adjusting, as stated in my previous response. We also have many people that work in the corporate Parsons office that haven’t had a raise in several years- not even a cost of living adjustment. We need a yearly performance evaluation and a raise based off of the results of those evaluations.
What I like about the company
There seems to be a lot of room for advancement. There are potlucks and dinners that happen pretty often (holidays) and we have a great PTO offering. Our insurance is pretty good. The work environment is pleasant and the office is in a good location.
What I dislike about the company
This company needs to focus more on taking care of the employees it has, rather than hiring more HR people to fill positions in the facilities. If they’d take better care of the CNAs, dietary staff, and housekeeping staff, those positions wouldn’t have such high turnover and they wouldn’t need all of these extra HR positions. We have people sitting with padded pockets just doing office work, while the CNAs and other facility employees are scraping together to make ends meet and can’t even make a living wage. We need to take better care of them before we hire a bunch of new HR people.
