Everyone was professional, but could be very catty. I was not a fan of the gossip

Attitude towards older colleagues
Everyone is treated the same
Lots of promotions and positions in other departments available.

Suggestions for improvement
- I would allow remote work for part-time and full-time options. I would bring food back to the cafeteria and I would allow the option to take a 30-minute break as an hour is too long for me. I would allocate the work out more evenly and hold people accountable when they don't do their work and pawn it off to someone else. The job isn't hard and there's no reason people can't get their work done.
What I like about the company
I made a handful of really good friends at this company. The people try to do their best despite the stressful environment and there is always someone to laugh with and someone that will help you out. I was able to get promoted quickly, and management is very supportive and answers all questions without making you feel like you are bothering them. I liked that overtime was sometimes offered nd I like that I was able to do special project outside of my regular job to expand my skills. I got to help develop the training material for new staff and that looked good on my resume. The connections I made while employed there helped me get a new job at another company and because I did so many special projects I was able to get a higher position than normal.
What I dislike about the company
I do not like how very little notice is given when jobs are shifting. We were told we were downsizing but that we'd be able to keep our jobs with a pay cut. A few months later, we were told we were going to be unemployed in two weeks. That was not enough notice and I thought it was very rude for the people who have been there for so long and put so much work in. Also, I didn't like the catty gossip and there was no one to stop it because management was just as guilty. A major issue is not being able to work remotely. The job doesn't need us there every day. the work could easily be done at home. Other companies in the industry are doing remote work and they are behind the times.
