Suggestions for improvement
- Floor supervisors/pittboss's should be the only people in the pit as floor supervisors/pittboss's. And also the dual rates. Because as a part time dealer, i'm required to be a floor at least once a week. This makes for inconsistent floor calls and makes for rerr
What I like about the company
The environment can be very fun and exciting. My fellow employees are like family. We have, by far, the busiest casino as far as the amount of people visiting. As a part time dealer, my days off are set. We offer a good variety of games. We have 4 different food options, from a delicious deli, a huge buffet with a wonderful range of choices including several different ethnic cuisines. A high end coffee shop and last but most definitely not least the BEST steakhouse!!
We have a 500 room hotel with a beautiful rooftop pool.
What I dislike about the company
Management has an US and THEM, (meaning the employee), mentality. Communication is not at all good. Our pay is below the federal minimum wage as our primary income comes from tips that the guests provide. So if we take time off for a vacation for approximately a week, we make $7.18 an hour. Our company doesn't compensate for some kind common ground for a fair vacation wage. It makes it VERY difficult to afford time off. We are treated with very little appreciation. But can be severely reprimanded for a significant mistake. We are not allowed to get our shift covered by another employee the day of our shift. So if you wake up sick and stay home, OCCURANCES, OFFENSES are put in your folder. One too many and you can and will be terminated. Overall we are not treated as assets to and for the company. I feel like we are tolerated at best even though we are on the front lines making the company so much money. It's the American way anymore
