Suggestions for improvement
- Until the old guard is gone I can’t really think of what can help. The upper crust doesn’t seem to see or care what’s going on or really wrong. The attitude is backwards, there’s not enough “let’s find a way to get this done and figure out solutions” in the attitude. The mantra is just more overtime and burn people out. Start to finish their operation needs a large overhaul. They could start by really listening to some of the workers and not just trying to tell it like it is. Some of the people making decisions have never done the work before that they are overseeing and I don’t think they really get why something breaks down.
What I like about the company
It’s a nice place to get your feet wet if you are starting in the industry. They are always in need of people. The pay is good enough to get you by and fair for the experience level they seek. Almost all of the work is inside so you do not have to worry much about the weather
What I dislike about the company
The management style was less than desirable. The management only used their own specific experience that may or may not align with what you were trying to do that day. The support from direct management did not feel like it was strong enough or existent at times. They manage their people as if there are countless people outside waiting to take your spot. They abuse mandatory overtime due to, my opinion, poor management skills and even worse teamwork skills. It just feels stagnant to go in there every day.
