Suggestions for improvement
- Do more frequent employee satisfaction surveys or make a improvement suggestion box for people to dump their ideas in (anonymous or not). Hold mandatory refresher presentations on rules, perks, & basic training annually to make sure training is consistent amongst the company & to fix issues then. Those would also be a good time for people to bring up suggestions. There are many tools including a suggestion option in the internal company help ticket system, however, hardly anyone knows anything about it & sometimes, minor issues are left ignored.
What I like about the company
Every time employees experience a life-altering event, whether positive or negative, their coworkers will band together in emotional and financial (birthdays, adoption/new baby, retirement, discovery of cancer, loss, etc.) There are many team bonding events with delicious food catering. Flexible work hours provided as there are many parents employed. The location of the main office is accessible from a main freeway, yet a safe area with ample parking & decent green scenery whenever one needs a short break of fresh air. Two gyms with lockers, showers, personal trainers & classes available before, during, & after work hours. Due to being in a flood zone city, ability to work remotely with minimal loss of productivity.
What I dislike about the company
Training is inconsistent between teams. More of the big picture (why we do what we do) could be explained to new employees so that they feel more pride in contributing in their job. Company has been rapidly expanding whivh threatens the small business intimacy that long term employees value.
