For the most part it is very positive, only one person who is difficult to work with
Suggestions for improvement
- Get away from raises and give a COLA that is the same for everyone across the board. The first 10 years I received a yearly raise and about a 3% COLA on top of it. Now I only get about 1.5% per year.
What I like about the company
For the most part it is good to work here. Great benefits and employee events are provided. I feel that the compensation is not fair across the board nor are the COLA increases. The university is not doing well financially and jobs have been cut. This has been happening for about 10 years now and that worries me about the financial solvency of the instiution
What I dislike about the company
Administration and the distribution of the compensation plan that is presented to the board. They may say 3% increases but that does not mean that all will get 3%. They break that down into different percentages and hourly people only get about 1.5% if they are lucky. Administrators and Faculty get the most.
