Tense, uncertain, lack of trust, people afraid to speak up or ask questions.
Support from management
They are too busy with close doored meetings.
Freedom to work independently
Sure, as the work of 2 or 3 people often gets dumped onto 1 person after everything has been done incorrectly and is late.
A lot of closed door meetings and lack of follow through when decisions are made.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older people are being laid off a lot more than younger people.
If willing to move out of a department but even then, most moves for most people are lateral and just a change of scenery.
Overall compensation for your work
Has improved some but still below average in the industry. But with all of the corporate turnover and an impossible rating system, wages are almost frozen.
Office / Work Environment
Tense with highly unrealistic deadlines. Jobs presented with too much Incomplete and missing information.
Was much better when Ted F. overseen it.
Ample vacation time, holidays and personal time.
Depends on how much energy you want to use to play the game in comparison to putting in an honest days work.
Gotten worse since Ted F. no longer oversees it.
The only thing that makes it challenging is the stress created by incomplete, incorrect and missing information. Not the pleasant kind of challenging.

Suggestions for improvement
- Better educated management who knows and understands the product and gets to know who people are and what they are contributing. Not just chatting it up with the people they are most comfortable with and accepting what they say at face value. Management who gets out from behind closed doors and shadows employees to better understand "a day in the life of."
What I like about the company
Great lunches provided each quarter and holidays. Good benefits except the benefits change too often and make it difficult to learn how to use them before they change again. Currently health insurance deductibles are unattainable.
What I dislike about the company
Pretentious, actions do not line up with words. Just because they advertise being a good company does not make it true. A lot of favoritism to those who waste time and energy pretending to know what they are doing and who take credit for others ideas and work.
