No trust whatsoever. On several occasions it was suggested to remove some of the subcontract personnel. It was me with high resistance. Only until upper management had to deal personally with these individuals did they remove and replace them.
Support from management
There was little or no assistance during a startup. Information on subcontracts was vague. Subcontracts were signed only a few days prior to startup so there was no familiarization period. Processes and procedures were constantly changing at the strategic level which had a negative operational impact in terms of how the supply chain would work. IT systems were being modified right up to and shortly after start-up. Labor contracts were late in being signed therefore placing unfair burdens on the operation for processing and training personnel properly. Operations actually started prior to having enough personnel on ground to conduct operations. Any input to management was usually met deaf ears. The list goes on and on.
