If not for the micromanaging would be awesome, definite difference when certain bosses had the day off.
Support from management
You will be micromanaged. Ears are everywhere, be cautious of everything you do.
Fellow co workers are really hard working, caring people.
Freedom to work independently
Heavy workload, heavy emotions involved, high turnover. Great place to gain experience.
Things are constantly changing, but they will keep you informed. Monthly meeting with your dept. And they did do different things to keep it interesting. Monthly employee review felt like walking on eggshells, sometimes you were ok, sometimes not.
Depends on who you are.
Office / Work Environment
What you would expect in this kind of environment.
There is a definite need for the service they provide, and they are always striving to do good things for animals.
You can earn PTO at full time level, and they will accommodate as best they can.
I was proud to be a part of AHS. I will say that I often left there feeling like I just couldn't get it all done, or worried about things.
What I like about the company
Great Experience, pride in helping animals, good pay.
What I dislike about the company
too much micromanaging, sometimes on the treatment side of things just too much for one person, constantly being pulled off task. Sometimes wished there was one day of the week where you could keep the incoming closed.
