Very different from what I grew up with and I disagree with a lot of it
Support from management
Baseline is okay, but not at all open to suggestions or requests
Depends on the location. Current location discourages talking to others and administration has made statements encouraging going behind others backs
Freedom to work independently
Overall compensation for your work
For what it is, it's fine, and the benefits are amazing
Office / Work Environment
I have sensory issues, and it's a struggle for me. The temperature is also ridiculous. Otherwise, it's fine.
Could be improved, but they try
Depends on the supervisor
I want to say yes, but people have been fired for ridiculous reasons, so I never feel fully safe
Depends on the location, but it's simple work and encouraged to stay that way
Inclusive / Diverse
Could be better--for example, many accommodations for disabilities could be improved.
Suggestions for improvement
- Besides what's already been stated, create a private space for employees feeling ill. Switch to LED lighting. Regulate temperature better. LISTEN TO EMPLOYEES.
What I like about the company
Have been great working with me when I had a family issue. Great diversity. Excellent benefits.
What I dislike about the company
Need to actually listen to their employees and patrons and get off their high horse, and stop just saying they are listening when they clearly aren't. A more flexible work schedule would be great. Go back to solid home locations--patrons, employees, and supervisors all prefer this and it makes for more efficient work. Allow talking amongst co-workers as long as the work gets done. Allow independent thinking--for example, make time for projects and trust employees to make decisions on their own.
