Compliments only given to favorites. Company seems unaware of what happens at store level.
Support from management
No clear plans for task execution. playing favorites with scheduling, praise, and perks. 2 out of 3 managers schedule themselves off on high traffic promo and task days. Personal opinions of staff not kept private. 1/2 of district managers turn blind eye to unbalanced schedules and problems that arise.
Negative comments when co-workers not around. Colleagues standing and talking behind cash wrap.
Freedom to work independently
Workload unfairly distributed. Clear direction for tasks and presentation not communicated.
Chat ins are rare. Lack of communication for store specific store sets.
The company predominately hires women. Demotions have occurred because of minor disabilities.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Seniors are NOT appreciated or supported at all locations. Comments surrounding appeals to the MELLENIAL shopper and unequal distribution of hours and demotions have occurred.
The company provides many opportunities for advancement.

Salaries and benefits seem appropriate.

Company provides excellent supplies for tasks and stores are well appointed.
Company is extremely aware of environment and social matters.
Requesting days off is not a problem. Schedules are normal, but unfairly distributed.
The company has a well respected reputation.
Brick and mortar stores have had hours and positions eliminated.
Inclusive / Diverse
The company observes and practices diversity. There seems to be a disconnect at the store level of Loft regarding equal scheduling distribution.
Suggestions for improvement
- District Managers should do surprise visits to observe the stores in their natural state and behaviors. Planned visits should be more frequent and schedules should be monitored more closely to maintain equality for all.
What I like about the company
Ann Inc has been an awesome company to work for. They offer decent salaries and generous employee discounts. Working with clients and seeing their faces excited when products are introduced is a big plus.

Store level behaviors need to be monitored more closely for equality at all levels.
