Utility Construction is a good job it pays well. But the work environment has to change for it to be a excellent job.
Support from management
Yes they regularly give you support with your work and without job related issues
They do encourage others to work together. But like i was saying earlier some of the other employees do not like to work with certain people for non related work reasons.
Freedom to work independently
Well someone is always looking over your shoulder and it's pretty bothersome
For the most part the communication is good. It's a successful business and it can put you in a better position as far as your career
Yes women have a equal opportunity and are treated with respect
Attitude towards older colleagues
Yes everyone is treated with respect and are treated equally to the upmost degree
Overall compensation for your work
Yes my overall compensation is very fair
Yes as far as this you bring home a decent amount of money
Yes great bosses and management
Yes very stable
The work is pretty challenging but they do not give you anything that you can't handle
Inclusive / Diverse
Well i never give opinions i just stay in my own lane and go home. It's just a lot easier that way
Suggestions for improvement
- Well i basically just said it in my last post. I just would like to see the starting rate at somewhere around $30 an hour. Because it's hard work and you can get more at other places doing what you do here.
What I like about the company
One time i needed help financially for an family emergency. So i thought about different ways to try to get it. So my friend told my boss about my issue and to make a long story short. My boss loaned me the money to help me and my family out. Now if that isn't a awesome boss then there's no such thing as one.
What I dislike about the company
There's not too much that i don't approve of except maybe a raise lol but no seriously a higher pay rate
