Roots set by the dad but are withering away.
Support from management
If it’s not the President’s idea it will not be considered
Production floor teamwork to get the job done is excellent however in the front office and upper management it’s a different story.
Freedom to work independently
A fair amount of micromanaging goes on
Weekly meetings used to be held for department heads but that is gone.
Again a good mix
Attitude towards older colleagues
Not much to say on this one. The company does not have much to offer here
Overall compensation for your work
11 years without an increase this included 2 temporary pay cuts through the economic hard times up to 25% with no retro!
Office / Work Environment
Recycling is profitable
This is one good thing that is still present
Company has been around since 1955 and it it’s hay day was the place to go for fast quality work. Again this is dissipating
It has to be something short of murder to be let go from this place
Up to date on most
The actual jobs flowing in are interesting and challenging as well as dealing with the younger customer base
Inclusive / Diverse
there is a good mix
Suggestions for improvement
- The president step down and bring up to date technology to equipment.
What I like about the company
Co workers, most customers and the excitement of turning a plain sheet of paper into a piece of art.
What I dislike about the company
The company was a great company to work for when the dad ran the company but since the son took over it has been going down hill.
