Suggestions for improvement
- Morale can run a bit low, and I think that greater care in the office upkeep, i.e. housekeeping, condition of the paint/furniture, sufficient office supplies, etc would help.
What I like about the company
Close knit staff, "We're all in this together"" attitude where everyone looks out for the team. Rewarding at times, especially once you get a firm grasp of the job. Perfect if you work well unsupervised, within clearly defined parameters"
What I dislike about the company
In order to understand what the job consists of, it's on the job training at this company. Because of a nearly limitless number of variables that are possible, only experience can help your advancement. Protocol dictates "shadowing"" for several weeks of training. This starts with the new hire watching & listening to an established employee perform the job, advancing towards the trainee switching positions & performing the job alone, with the trainer watching and evaluating until the employee shows sufficient skill. Unfortunately, this process is often skipped through and finished prematurely, creating employees who are unsure and under prepared. Lack of confidence results in more mistakes in my opinion, and my one criticism is that more time needs to be spent on training"
