Support from management
You get very little support from management and if they do have a good supervisor they either break their spirit or they get rid of them. There is only one good supervisor left and that person doesn't even have any staff.
There is some form of teamwork out in the fields however the whole time you are working together the same people are plotting against you in some form or another. They do this because the highest level of management encourages this type of behavior as a form of maintaining control because they have no leadership skills.
Freedom to work independently
You are constantly being micromanaged by your suprervisor and they tell you its due to the director being so untrusting of everyone and poor management skills on the directors part.
There is absolutely no communication in this company what so ever. You will hear a lot about how communication is key but you never get a chance to directly communicate with your supervisor she wants everything done by email at which she does not reply. I made several attempts to have face to face meetings with her and I was always met with resistance or a negative attitude from the supervisor.
It is great as long as you are homosexual.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There have been several remarks made by upper management about employees being too old to work there.
This is a great place to work for people that want to obtain a few years of experience in their perspective fields.
It's great for management not so good for field staff unless you are a favorite of the director.
Inclusive / Diverse
The management is all homosexual for the most part except for a couple of them anyone else that didn't conform to their ways was let go. They have two black women that work for the whole company and they are their token go to people when there is a sign of trouble, so they can claim we aren't racest.
Suggestions for improvement
- Communications, leadership skills for upper-level management, and a new director.
What I like about the company
Working hours, benefits are great except for the insurance.
What I dislike about the company
The director does not know how to lead and gets advice from others who have no real leadership experience.
