It was a very positive team to work with, with lots of team bonding as well as self improvement exercises. It was Hard but enjoyable work to be a part of the Aptive Family.
Support from management
My team leader and branch manager were key influences in inspiring me to be better and actually perform better each day so i could be successful.
Team meetings were essential to my success during my time there and I bonded quite well with my self.
Freedom to work independently
I was responsible for doing my own work, everything I did to make a sale was by myself and then had to report back to my team leader on my work for the day.
Every day we talked about our progress as well as our goals in meetings almost daily with our Team Leader.
I actually worked with extremely talented women that helped me develop my work skills, as well as were rewarded for their work.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I never had the opprotunity to work with that many older individuals there, but I never saw anything to suggest that they were treated unfairly.
There were several opprotunities to lead a new team, or be part of a new branch, and it was very much encouraged.
Overall compensation for your work
I was paid very well for my efforts and work i did.
Office / Work Environment
Every training was done in a comfortable environment, I loved the chairs we used actually.
We had a recycling been that we were pushed to used, as well as there was an attitude of treating the environment with care.
There was almost no time during the week for personal things, but had all the weekend to do whatever I wanted.
It was a good work opprotunity for me and helped me grow as an individual in many ways. I was proud to work for them as well as reference them.
I did feel My position was a seasonal position and I had the opprotunity to continue the following year, however I turned it down.
The office location is handicap accessible, however work positions I would say are limited obviously.
We constantly talked about things to watch out for, as well as training for possible situations.
Extremely hard, but also extremely rewarding. Having to learn Adaptive conversational skills to control the flow of the conversation to make the sale.
Inclusive / Diverse
There were several different individuals who I worked with from different beliefs and of quite diverse opinions, we never had any issues.
Suggestions for improvement
- At times I felt like the culture of Work Hard Play Hard was a bit too forced, as I felt sometimes I had to participate on days I didn't want to. This might just be my personal experience and maybe not be general, but i definitely felt that it was forced, I would say a more open approach to this would be better for each team.
What I like about the company
Each week the team would have an activity that we did, from water polo games, to pizza partys, to mario kart, to hanging out at parks doing a BarBeQue. I've never had so much fun working for a company before, i've got nothing but good memories of it. That being said we were under the Work Hard Play Hard mentality and our Work was hard. Running Quick practices Every morning with other Team members I felt like I was reporting my progress every day to my team, The tips the positive critism, even just the practicing helped me excel in my work during the day. I had rough days for sure, but from those days I have some amazing days and I loved the entire experience for sure, I'd recommend it to anyone who Loves the Work Hard Play Hard Mentality.
What I dislike about the company
The were some things that came to light during my time there, it was my understanding that the company rebranded and merely copied over the material that we would use to sign contracts and even information that I shared with customers. This led to several awkward situtations that could have been avoided by simply re organzing the material and changing formats. Other than that sometimes the goals seemed somewhat insane, and a bit unreasonable. However the few times we met them it was amazing and I felt extremely rewarded, but that was only a few times and more often I felt uneccessary pressure that I didnt need.
