Alot of bad attitudes, but employees remain very close to each other.
Support from management
Management not particularly knowledgeable about realities in "the field".
Crews most normally work well together, especially when led by knowledgable supervision.
Freedom to work independently
Not possible in most cases.
A rift exists between management and field workers making communication contentious; both sides under estimate the other.
Never seen a woman in the field all are support staff at the office.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The physical nature of the work and often excessive weather conditions in the field do not allow for older workers who cannot operate as project managers.
For an intelligent and hard working individual the opportunity's are vast.
Overall compensation for your work
Given the low expectations for education the pay is outstanding.
Office / Work Environment
Industrial plants not typically much fun but ADI crews are given leiway and respect most others are not given.
While many crew-leaders are a bit careless the process itself is far better than alternative processes to acquire the same results.
Not a reality for this industry. Is better for some of the longer serving employees, but new rules within the company negate those perks greatly while offering more in money.
Well respected within the industry.
As entry level worker slow times can be a bit precarious, but after establishing a fair reputation you'd almost have to commit a capital crime to be released.
As with older workers, not really plausable in this part of the industry.
While the company overall is one of the industry's finest because of the technology, most in supervision are openly contentious of safety.
Terrifically challenging, especially given the ever-evolving nature of the technology to meet the various needs of a wide range of customers. Company and employees rarely back-down from a challenge.
Inclusive / Diverse
Generally supervision in the field act as dictators, high turnover really does effect this as most employees do not stay long enough to acquire knowledge and many not capable of understanding certain complexities.
Suggestions for improvement
- An experienced, consistent and thoughtful safety staff must be brought in to assimilate the long time employees with the new values of modern safety and worker management.
What I like about the company
Most fun job I've ever had working with the best coworkers and often exciting and challenging.
What I dislike about the company
The numerous misunderstandings between office support staff and field workers are easily avoidable when experienced workers are moved into office positions rather that people whom work in offices for a living.
