There are no commendations here. In fact, it was common knowledge within the company that employees won't even receive a cost of living or merit increase. The only way to negotiate a change in salary is to tender formal resignation.
Support from management
Problematic projects were often reassigned. Management "does not tolerate excuses" so the person the project was reassigned to was held accountable for all failures. Extremely dysfunctional.
The outspoken do not survive here. Innovation is perceived as threatening. You will only survive by doing exactly what you're told and nothing else.
The few woman there were in low level positions and had been for years.

Office / Work Environment
Brand new state of the art facility, very clean and tidy. However, the distant tumblr of shouting behind closed doors is a bit unsettling.
My manager (who is no longer there) made homophobic remarks on my first day. The CFO was also the only HR person. I only saw his door open once or twice while working there, so as you might imagine the lines of communication are pretty closed.
I did not feel comfortabLe requesting significant time off while there. I saw one employee driven to tears after a discussion with an upper manager.
Employees are viewed as expendable.
No room for innovation here. If you're someone who prided themselves on impeccable precision you may feel personal satisfaction, but don't expect it to be recognized.
Inclusive / Diverse
Homophobic manager (no longer there). New ideas not appreciated.
Suggestions for improvement
- I am stumped. Sadly, I don't think there is much to salvage here.
What I like about the company
The building itself was nice.
What I dislike about the company
The company's attitude towards its employees is pretty appalling. I think it's safe to say this was the least fulfilling job I've ever had.
