Great people bad pay..
Said to be a Christian based company but the values are not there. You are constantly lied to.
Support from management
Managers don't really support you and go the extra mile for you. Being a good or great employee gets you the same as a regular or bad employee.
You have people who work as a team.
Freedom to work independently
Work is somewhat fairly distributed. Problem is when you are a person they can depend on you get a heavier load of work because they know it will get done and done correctly.
The communication in this company is awful.. The right hand has no idea what he left hand or foot are doing honestly. Somethings actually would be so much better if everyone was on the same page.
The ones that do the most are not appreciated. The pay is not equivalent to what you do.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Elderly are treated as anyone else. No discrimination.
If you are will to teach yourself then you can learn a lot.
Overall compensation for your work
Wide variety of benefit levels for the individual person. As with most jobs with family benefits you have to pay the full amount which is expensive.. Can be almost half your pay check or more.
Office / Work Environment
Very nice work conditions. They just moved into a new facility in November and it is a nice upgrade from where we were. They could have made it larger though for growth.
They are for the most part ok in this category.
Schedules seem to keep changing a lot in all departments and they don't really try and communicate this very well. Sometimes you have to speak with your employees because one may not be able to do a schedule but another in the same position can but they don't care to work with their people. They would rather lose a good employee over small things.
Employees are always talking down on this company. Only thing good they really say is great people to work with.
I can say that your job is safe as long as you show up. It takes a lot to get fired here. They can't keep people because people leave not because they are fired.
There is an elevator for going upstairs, handicapped bathroom stalls and the side walk lowers for access as well..
They try to be very serious about safety here. I believe there is a safety meeting almost every week and they keep up with days that there are no accidents. They even have a party if they go so many days without accidents.
The work is not hard at all..
Inclusive / Diverse
Not really very diverse. It's one way or not. Then they want to change it up and don't really speak with the people who actually do the work on a daily bases. If you talk with your people and actually take the time to listen you would be able to figure out how to make the business run better. Stop listening to these VP and heads that don't actually know the job or the issues at hand.
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to your people and pay them. Stop paying people 6 figures to do nothing when you have people doing hard work making 10-12hr. Give your people raises and stop cutting their pay and telling them not to think of it as a cut but to think about the fact that you still have a place for them. Cut the pay of the people actually making over 60,000 a year.. People can't live off pennies and then you want to take more from them.. It's just wrong.
