FAQ

What is ASML's vision?

Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.

What is ASML's mission?

Our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry. ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors.

What is ASML's strategy?

We are a focused supplier of equipment to IC manufacturers, providing high-performance lithography, metrology and software solutions that enable our customers to continue the feature shrink that underpins Moore's Law in a cost-effective way. Where there is a compelling customer benefit and industrial logic, we may expand into adjacent markets serving IC manufacturers. Finally, with a view to the future, we will explore areas outside of IC or lithography where we can apply our strengths in creating advanced systems that are geared for high throughput, reliable operation and extreme accuracy. To realize this, we focus our internal efforts on technology leadership, strong customer and supplier relationships, and great people. This is complemented with showing responsible behavior as a prerequisite in executing our strategy.

What is ASML's global presence?

We are a multinational company with over 70 locations in 16 countries, headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. We employ more than 14,000 people on payroll and flexible contracts (expressed in full time equivalents). ASML is traded on Euronext Amsterdam and NASDAQ under the symbol ASML.

How does ASML try to accomplish this?

ASML provides semiconductor manufacturers (chip makers) with highly-advanced imaging tools (lithography systems) that make the smallest, most advanced and cost-effectively produced electronic chips. These chips, or integrated circuits, are used in most computers, TV and hi-fi systems, mobile phones, MP3 players, cameras, banking cards and automotive control systems. In fact, they are at the heart of most electronic equipment used in the home, the office and on the move.

Company culture

Company moral is so poor. The management is outdated. The type of management from the '50s.

Support from Management

Management creates unrealistic goals, dismisses employee opinions, and develops a working atmosphere of fear and negativity.

Teamwork

The employees are the best part of the company. They work hard and everyone helps others to accomplish their goals as solid teams. But are not supported by management.
