Astor Home For Children experience report

  • 24.Nov. 2015
  • Employee

Wonderful for personal growth.

4,1

Environmental Friendliness

This Corp. focuses on the emotional, physical and mental well-being of children who are between the ages of 6 months and 5 years of age.

Work-Life Balance

No.
Sometimes.
Yes,ALWAYS.
NO.

Company Image

Yes to BOTH questions.
Most employees declare loyalty, trust and love for Astor Home for Children.
Most plan to NEVER leave!

Workplace Safety

Yes, to both queries, but, because of the nature of the facility, (a Montessori Based Pre-School),
AND a Montessori- Based, Early Childhood Program, (6mo-5 yrs)
ACCIDENTS HAPPEN!!

Challenging Work

Yes. I was praised by co-workers and supervisors for jobs well done.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Some way to improve the Pay scale. This is a WONDERFUL program. For all of the AMAZINGLY GOOD work that comes out of it, the pay scale is embarrassingly low. The staff and the Teachers are worth FAR FAR more than they are being paid.

What I like about the company

Opportunities for education and personal growth are ALWAYS offered AND encouraged.

What I dislike about the company

Gov't./Charity Regulated pay scale.
