Suggestions for improvement
- As stated in the previous question, I would update and change the attendance policy and policies concerning holidays and vacations. I would also add a grace period of 5-10 minutes for employees are late due to extenuating circumstances.
What I like about the company
My bosses are very laid back and understanding, and they help me with problems and genuinely care about me. We are like a family. They are flexible with taking breaks, dress code is casual, there is free coffee. They are understanding when personal issues arise, and do what they can to help.
What I dislike about the company
The only thing I would think to change is the attendance policy, mainly due to my own personal issues that have kept me out of work. The hours are strict, and there is virtually no time to get things done at home because I spend 90% of my time at work. I think there should be a grace period for if a person is going to be late due to extenuating circumstances, and there should be a better policy in place regarding holiday pay. For example, we were closed July 4th-6th, but only July 4th was a paid holiday. Even though there was no way I could come to work on the 5th and 6th and I had no vacation days left, so I was not paid for the 5th and 6th.
