Terrible Company To Work For

Company Culture

Owner has whole family on the payroll only to draw huge salaries, vehicles and perks and they barely do any work. Very dysfunctional company to work for. Owner causes unhealthy environment. Not a very nice person to work for.

Support from management

None. Decent pay but number of long hours put into the job is excessive. Owner manages with treats.

Teamwork

Everyone is out for themselves trying to keep their jobs. No employee teamwork.

Freedom to work independently

Never. Employees are micro-managed and watched 24/7. Calls are monitored and office is video monitored. Employees are scrutinized by owner/family employees.

Internal Communication

Communications are lacking with employees. Family employees hold power over other employees. Extreme dysfunction.

Gender Equality

Pay and company benefits not equal. Family employees eat up the profits.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Very poor. Older employees get fired quicker than others.

Career Development

None.

Overall compensation for your work

Fair but only if company revenue is good. Lots of inequities among employees.

Office / Work Environment

Toxic. Stressful. Dysfunctional.

Environmental Friendliness

Fair but fake.

Work-Life Balance

Rarely any balance. Job comes before family and Owner enforces loyalty to her or treats to fire employee.

Company Image

Very poor. Every trucking company, business and parent companies know the toxic environment of the company because of the bad reputation of the owner.

Job Security

Absolutely none. Only if you are a family member. Owner plays favorites. Still has fired over 50 employees without giving warnings or probation. Owner loves to fire employees when they least expect it.

Not a concern of Owner.

No. Very unrewarding.

Inclusive / Diverse

Don’t believe Owner believes in diversity. Employee records don’t show an “equal opportunity employer”.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Stop allowing family employees to influence Owner to fire employees. Employees are making the company money yet Owner and family are reaping the benefits.

What I like about the company

Nothing. It is a job.

What I dislike about the company

The way the Owner treats employees. She has an issue with trusting employees and always looks for the bad and never cares about the good in employees.
