The owner of the company is very hard to get along with and will make you feel like complete crap at his discretion.
Support from management
They seem to have a hard time deciphering whom works for whom. They favor a lot of people who have worked there for longer, and will have their back even if you weren't particularly in the wrong to begin with.
As a team you do need to work together in order to make good sales. This would be easiest if everyone worked together, and was treated fairly. Most employees got away with not doing much during work time, while others actually did their job.
Freedom to work independently
Definitely not very fair. Most people actually worked, but when it came down to "management" working, they usually shopped online or messed around the office not doing much of anything.
Weekly meeting, not much is discussed other than the owner critiquing on how poorly we would do
Office / Work Environment
Depending on where you work, you are mainly in a warehouse. Call center is in the attic of said warehouse.
I was trying to go to school full time and work full time. They were not very compliant and that is the main reason why I was let go.
There was a mold incident within a very small work space. I was uncomfortable with working within close quarters to potential black mold, was not able to leave until issue was resolved. I was told to suck it up.
You make phone calls and persuade people to buy expensive products
Inclusive / Diverse
If you don't agree with the owner, you are wrong.
Suggestions for improvement
- fire your management and start with people that know what they are doing.
