Suggestions for improvement
- More qualified management and experienced.
The management changes hands often very big turn over with staff. They only care about the money and not the residents. They take in residents that are not suitable for an independent community. They keep these seniors there because they don't want there census to be low. The pay is horrible and McDonald's employees get more an hour. They are based out of Kentucky and Kentucky living is very different from NY living. Staff won't stay because the salary is less to be desired. After taking the family medical plan that's offered you wound up bringing nothing home. So because of the big turn over in staff residents are constantly having to learn new staff which is upsetting to them. They also have raised residents rents every year since they took over 4 years ago at a whopping 10%. Residents are moving out because they cant afford the increases and they are bringing in less desirable residents that need more care. So no I would not recommend this Atria community. Also management is very young and inexperienced.
