If you are Muslim, Middle Eastern, Pakistani or the like you are fairly well. Paid Muslim holidays and celebrations at work, but only if you are Muslim. If you are anything else, you are excluded from celebrations or acknowledgements other than Christmas. Not all employees treated equally. Open bias.
Freedom to work independently
Staff must depend on themselves since higher leadership is absent.
Policy changes without informing employees. CEO says he can change policy whenever he feels like it and isn't required to inform employees that it readily affects their pay, benefits, and vacation.
Overall compensation for your work
Started of at low pay with promise by CEO of increase in 6 weeks, at anniversary, and at high marked review. None happened. When asked, the CEO asked me to prove his promise since we were in a private meeting and there were no witnesses to hear him say it therefore he didn't have to fulfill any pay promises.
Extremely underpaid. No increase in 2 years. Went from duties in 1 position to duties for 5 plus supervising a team of typists and receptionists.
Inclusive / Diverse
If you are Muslim, Middle Eastern, or Pakistani, you are made. Anything else, be prepared to see open bias.
Suggestions for improvement
- Keep promises. Treat all employee cultures equally. Take a class on racial/ethnic diversity. This includes "white" people. Have current approved policy and inform employees of these changes.
What I dislike about the company
Hiding corrupted medical records off-site when the State is coming in for an audit/review. Altering of patient medical records after billing to match insurance claims. Charging patient insurance for procedures that were never performed. Getting all the partners new luxury auto leases every 6 mos to a year instead of giving employees long overdue pay increases.
