Company Culture

Company cares more about making money than taking care of employees. You can be replaced is their mindset

Support from management

Managers managed numbers not people. They're more interested in their own bonuses than molding, managing, mentoring employees

Teamwork

Talk team work but have no idea what team work is. They are more focused on metrics that are unobtainable unless you break ethics or morals

Freedom to work independently

We work alone all the time...getting help is the issue

Internal Communication

No internal communication at all. Each section of the company believes they are more important than any other section, inner communication does not flow
It is expected to happen instantly no matter if short supplies, personnel or training

Gender Equality

We have all races and religions just dont be a woman in our field. It's a good old boy system and the managment will find a way to get rid of a woman

Attitude towards older colleagues

We cant get rid of them. People have been in the same job for 40 years and wont retire....no upward movement

Career Development

Company does not give you guidance in career development. You the individual have to research and try to better yourself

Overall compensation for your work

It's a contract year so in the company eyes we are the second highest paid but for the amount of work we do we should be getting paid more. Top pay for a service tech in my area is $36 an hour. My job tops out at $24 an hour. We do more work yet they get paid more not to mention we are not being compensated for COLA

Office / Work Environment

It changes every day

Work-Life Balance

Things have changed for the worse. Used to be we could plan out 6 weeks in advance but now you cannot because of constant threats of having to work a forced 6th day

Company Image

CEO investigated for insider trading, now he was given a tax break and took some of the money promised to the employee for yearly raises and purchased shares.

Job Security

Threats of surplus and termination always present

Handicapped Accessibility

You wont get hired and if you do it wont be in my field...God forbid you get hurt...you will be fired or "Surplused"

Inclusive / Diverse

We have all races and religions just dont be a woman in our field. It's a good old boy system and the managment will find a way to get rid of a woman

Suggestions for improvement

  • Fire the CEO, executives, directors and promote people who have been doing the job in power to .wake changes to revamp our image while providing current and relevant training to the employees. Provide products and services that are current. Current products are obsolete.

What I like about the company

Benefits are ok...

What I dislike about the company

Pay is not equivalent to the amount of work we do. Training=no updated training nor path for advancement. Support=no support from any internal agency. Accountability= we are the only section in the company that is held to a standard, all others have the perception of no accountability. Management=there is none. My boss has no practical experience in my field. He goes by a document that tells him how i should do my job. But, he has never done it. And he is the third manager I have had in 4 years...all were the same way...no practical/working knowledge.

Company Culture

AT&T has different ethnicities working male and female. Everyone gets alone just like one big family.

Support from management

Management always has your back and is there to help you whenever you need help.

Teamwork

AT&T is always willing to listen to your ideas and thoughts as well as communicating with other team members.

Freedom to work independently

Everyone has their goals which are mandated by the company. Everyone has their own desk where you work independently but at the same time you are required to be a team player.

Internal Communication

Information as well as team meetings are at least once a week where AT&T makes sure you are informed enough to be experienced when talking to your customers.

Gender Equality

Whether you are a woman or man if you have the experience and training you can climb up the ladder easily.

Attitude towards older colleagues

All employees are treated equally.

Career Development

Training is always available with team classes at different times.

Overall compensation for your work

Salary plus commission is very high. I made more than a lot of people with other degrees.

Office / Work Environment

Cubicles are set up to maximize your comfort so you can perform a well qualified job.

Environmental Friendliness

Team managers and employees are always aware of their surroundings and safety is one of the priorities among many other top issues.

Work-Life Balance

AT&T promotes work-life balance with their employees.

Company Image

There has not been one day gone by that I have not thought about the employment tenure I had with the company before I retired. Very pleasant place to work for and had I not worked there I wouldn't have been able to travel as much as I did including Hawai

Job Security

Stability comes with positive attitudes, goals being met and how well you take care of the company.

Handicapped Accessibility

Handicap accessibility is also offered with handicap parking places as well.

Workplace Safety

On top of their game with safety as well.

Challenging Work

The main challenges was achieving your mandated goals. Very easy to do if you put your mind to it. I was a President Club Member and travelled extensively with the company being part of the top ten elite of the company.

Inclusive / Diverse

Diversity in the workplace is one of the goals of AT&T as we all work together.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I don't see a need for any changes.

What I like about the company

AT&T is a rewarding company to work for. With the right mindset nothing is unreachable. I very much enjoyed working with the company and even to this day I stand up for the company. I managed, worked in sales, was a team leader, and a President Club Membe

What I dislike about the company

There are no parts I disapprove of.

    Former employee
  • Position
    Employee

The following perks were offered to me

On site cafeteria is offered Health and wellness programs is offered Employee discounts is offered Employee events is offered Fitness center on site is offered

Company Culture

Very positive in regards to team mates, but not upper management

Support from management

Very positive in regards to team mates, but not upper management

Teamwork

Employees are discouraged from helping each other and can be threatened with committing sales fraud

Freedom to work independently

Yes, to the point that it is very hard to get help when needed

Internal Communication

the only communication from upper management is negative

Gender Equality

Women are not excluded from promotions, but are absolutely treated unfairly. I have been told on more than one occasion to flirt with male customers to close sales.

Attitude towards older colleagues

These people are not hired. There are older employees in upper management roles, but almost none in any of the retail stores.

Career Development

Yes, but there is a great deal of bias in who is provided with these opportunities

Overall compensation for your work

I am paid well, however the amount of work keeps growing while the rewards are lessening.

Office / Work Environment

Things often went unfixed for extended periods of time.

Environmental Friendliness

No recycling, tons of paper waste

Work-Life Balance

Employees are often working well past their scheduled time off

Company Image

I am well paid and enjoy the company of my coworkers, but have serious issues with the company as a whole.

Job Security

Absolutely not. The average turnover is within two years.

Handicapped Accessibility

We did add one lower handicapped table, but it is often occupied by people who don't have a need for it.

Workplace Safety

Safety procedures are not often practiced, but there were never any accidents...only robberies.

Challenging Work

High pressure sales, but the individual tasks were often fairly simple

Inclusive / Diverse

Diversity is only implemented to the extent that is required.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would implement more of a team environment where employees are encouraged to collaborate with team mates and managers to come up with solutions to benefit the store as a whole rather than the individual.

What I like about the company

AT&T offers decent benefits, and above average pay.

What I dislike about the company

The general culture of the corporation needs a complete overhaul. I do not feel as though I am valued as an employee or that the customers are valued. Everyone is treated as completely disposable. The focus needs to be altered to retaining customers and employees.
