Not much of a company culture. If you are not from India, you might feel somewhat on the outside.
Support from management
It's there, but best not ask too many questions about anything technically challenging because you might not get any answers because management doesn't know also.
Never sensed much teamwork at all. Every man for himself. Like elementary school kids competing over the only peanut butter sandwich in existence.
Freedom to work independently
Freedom to work independently with a lot of constraints.
Difficult to communicate with people whose grasp of the English language is poor, sometimes bizarre. Longer-term workers who do speak English as native language are burned-out zombies and don't talk much.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older colleagues are treated like faltering geriatric patients by some. Foreign contractors often are suspicious of older American workers, thinking that they are planted "spies" to keep tabs on their work activities.
Management rarely consults with contract workers as to what project is happening next. Contractors are never informed of being shifted to a new work group or project until the last minute. Contracts are extended at the whim of AT&T without discussing details with contractors.
Overall compensation for your work
Pays well, but sweatshop environment ruins just about everything else.
Office / Work Environment
It's okay, but a somewhat stark, cold environment. Orientation/on-boarding process is usually done in large groups (averaging 12 or more people) where that group is herded around the AT&T campus like cattle on their first day.
Folks rarely work over 8 hours per day, but the huge amount of work that is piled-on for a period of one week is equal to what should be accomplished by 3 or 4 workers & not good for a one person's well-being.
When DirecTV was taken over by AT&T, some long-term employees said that everything started to go downhill. People are not happy.
Never know what is going to happen from one day to the next.
I've seen multiple OSHA violations which would easily cause electrical fires. It is so rampant, that it is amazing they are not shut-down for those violations.
Challenging work is better than average. The only saving grace.

What I dislike about the company
Impersonal, humorless and workers are treated as easily disposable assets.
