The culture supported under a maintenance contract is - just do it the way new construction does. New build and maintenance are different. Company is imbred by nepotistic qualities.
Support from management
Direct management, great support - higher ups is lowsy. They are deaf to our concerns.
Freedom to work independently
I'm a self starter, so I get little to no guidance on a regular basis. Based on comms, I react and confirm that my efforts support current priorities. It's liberating to work in that environment, but it's often hampered by upper management desires.
