What the company is still working on is to build a strong working culture. I like their approach. The leadership team interacts with each of their employees for their opinions in building the culture.
Support from management
The hirerchy in this company is not too complex. Leadership team is easily accessible. Any new ideas, opinions, and change proposals are supported by the management.
Every employee undergoes at least 3 rounds of interview and the final one is usually with the CTO. Employees are carefully recruited to meet the needs of the company considering the leadership factors in every individual.
There is equality. As far as I have experienced, this is never an issue since they are at a fast pace towards making financial progress.
Attitude towards older colleagues
usually you will see them as middle management.
There are training and workshops. Also they refund your certification costs. Sales force certification is one of their prerequisite certification requirement.
Overall compensation for your work
Performance is reviewed twice an year. You get up to 30% hike. I got once.
Office / Work Environment
Like I mentioned earlier, communication is made simpler since there isn't much hirerchy.
Awareness in Indian market is very little but it has succefully captured the US/Canada market. Not many knows the potential of working for Avankia in Bangalore.
Work life balance is perfect here. You have work from home option. As long as you are meeting their needs, there is no objections on the pattern of work you chose.
Our clients already knew Avankia well. That's the image in the market.
Your performance each matters and you don't get a chance to be an underperformed for more than 6 months of time. That's the risk here.
I didn't see anything more than an elevater.
Not sure but haven't see much efforts in showcasing safety to the employees.
Yes. You are rewarded every month if you exceed their expectations. And I got my appraisal twice in 2014 for my accomplishments, although the rule book says appraisals are only once in an year.
Inclusive / Diverse
Yes. I have worked with employees from PAN India.
Diverse opinions are very much supported.
Suggestions for improvement
- Having the company at a prime address will get them more mileage interms of image and at the same time it's important that the local IT professionals know about the company. That way Avankia gets options in terms of talent.
What I like about the company
It's been in business for quite sometime. You have opportunities to change domains and roles within. Interaction is simplified. And most importantly, they paid me well.
What I dislike about the company
They don't provide transportation or allowances for transport within the city.
