No feedback from upper management, unless they want to blame you.
Support from management
If there was a negative number the design group would receive that rating. Leadership looks to blame someone instead of accepting responsibility for lack of tools.
Everyone works as individuals. No teamwork. If you want to work alone/completely on your own, this is your place.
Freedom to work independently
No regular meetings. Everyone works on their own. Company and management is so disconnected.
Everyone is treated equally bad
Hard to grow a company as employees work as individuals. Zero team atmosphere.
My coworker played candy crush all day, while I struggled to keep up.
Another person did online dating and golf videos instead of helping with administrative work.
Overall compensation for your work
Owner(s) claim they do not take a check but they all have non-working significant others.
Yet all of the owners pay a mortgage, car payments and so on. It is martyr and it is severely abused.
Office / Work Environment
Comfortable office space. Lack of employee equipment. Systems are outdated and IT is the owner's son via email, text or phone. Not effective within office space.
Seems everyone is in their own space or environment, because their is zero to little communication between employees.
The owners believe it is up to everyone to make the company succeed; working more than 40 hours but claiming only 40 on each time sheet so they are never held to overtime.
I have heard in the market place there is zero respect for the company, main reason I left.
Overworked, unpaid, zero respect from ownership and zero teamwork. All reasons for leaving a relationship, let alone a company.
No one knew company status, let alone individual security.
Office space is in an elevator building.
However if you are or a family member are sick or have a medical condition do not work here.
Owner(s) discuss laying off or getting rid of someone because of high healthcare costs that someone can or will cause.
Comply with OSHA
But it is hard to do it alone
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to the employees, involve the employees, hold regular meetings to include everyone. Talk about the current work load vs where the company plans to go with all employees.
