Beware

1.39

Company Culture

Toxic culture. Singular focus on cost reductions to satisfy owners

Support from management

Much like the lack of teamwork, support from your management is unknown at this company

Teamwork

Everyone is in constant fear of losing their job so teamwork is an unknown principle here

Freedom to work independently

Tasks are not handed out in such a way as to allow people to work independently as there is much inspection

Internal Communication

All decisions are done in a vacuum

Gender Equality

An unknown practice here

Attitude towards older colleagues

There is absolutely zero respect for the individual.

Career Development

None

Overall compensation for your work

Moderate

Office / Work Environment

Toxic

Environmental Friendliness

All presentations must be printed out in color and enough for all of the leadership team. Always for any review

Work-Life Balance

Because of constantly worrying about losing your job you have zero work life balance

Company Image

Good technology. Bad image with partners and new customers

Job Security

Zero. Everyone is - or should be in fear of losing their job. Everyday

Handicapped Accessibility

Of the buildings I visited there was moderate access

Workplace Safety

Moderate

Challenging Work

Internal politics makes it extremely challenging

Inclusive / Diverse

Check out the website. All middle aged white guys running the company

Suggestions for improvement

  • Remove entire leadership team

What I like about the company

There are some great people there - not in the senior roles

Company Culture

Leadership sends the message -you should be lucky to have a job

Support from management

Employees rarely involved

Teamwork

It's an "out for self" attitude among most. Peers often took credit for my work.

Gender Equality

Felt very boys clubish

Work-Life Balance

Hard working employees regularly work 60+ hours a week

Suggestions for improvement

  • Start caring about your employees and the hard workers; don't burden them with the extra work due to layoffs. Find other ways to cut costs like fat bonuses for the executives. Provide more transparency from the front line up through the VP level. Move away from such a hard hierarchical system so that managers and Peers don't take credit for other people's work. When it comes to hiring more or laying off people remember you pay what you get for; there is value in the higher cost employees whether that means locations or years in service. Don't ignore your customers by ignoring your employees your employee satisfaction; it will absolutely affect your CSAT and retention.

What I like about the company

Great products allow for skill growth.

What I dislike about the company

Hard workers are taken advantage of, it's not uncommon for people who really care about their job or the company to work over 60 hours a week on a regular basis for several years. Eventually many of us suffered burn out and left.

Company Culture

In many ways, like the original Silicon Valley. Foosball, Volleyball, Beer Bashes, Onsite Gym, Competitions. Some personalities got in the way, but overall, a great company to work for!

Support from management

Direct line was good, but little communication at 2+ layers up. Could have been improved.

Teamwork

This was the best. Team members had each others backs, regular meetings and just the best talent around. Couldn't ask for better team or Manager.

Freedom to work independently

You were given direction, and expected to work independently. Team and Manager available if you got stuck, and were very helpful. It was a well-oiled machine in my department.

Internal Communication

Management tried hard, but layoffs and other activities made it hard to communicate facts until the twelfth hour.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Attitude was "Look. There is some experience we can tap". But same went the other way. Young guys were very talented and didn't mind sharing their expertise.

Career Development

Options existed to change career path, and if chosen, were encouraged

Overall compensation for your work

Very well paid. Company tried to match or exceed valley wages, and frequently accomplished their goal

Office / Work Environment

Very accommodating. IT/HR worked to make the workspace as comfortable and functional as possible

Work-Life Balance

It was left up to you to what degree you contributed. Just about everyone put in the time as needed and did the 110% thing.

Company Image

Marketing worked on getting our name known, and were moderately successful.

Job Security

In the latter part of my employment, it became regular business to have both public and silent layoffs. This was likely an effect of cash flow and trying to man age the P&L, between you saw 3 to 6 job actions a year, the work became less fun due to the whispers in the hallway.

Workplace Safety

Had an onsite team comprised of a leader and employee action team. Excellent!

Challenging Work

The Manager always found something challenging. He seemed to know when you were about to stall, and provided a new opportunity/challenge.

Inclusive / Diverse

Everyone welcome. All participated equally. No cultural barriers

Suggestions for improvement

  • Not sure much could be improved. Conditions were as a result of the economy and struggle to keep bottom line in the black.

What I like about the company

The People, especially the R&D team.

What I dislike about the company

The frequency of the layoffs, especially the silent actions
